Your Travel Experience with Baboo
Day 1
Morning: La Paz to Copacabana Adventure Pick up at your accommodation in La Paz at approximately 7:00 a.m. for a shared bus transfer to the lakeside town of Copacabana.
Lunch & Town Discovery Arrive around noon just in time for a delicious traditional lunch and a short visit to the church and main plaza, and then take a boat to Isla del Sol (Sun Island), where you will hike to the top of the island on a traditional Inca stairway, the "Escalinatas de Yumandi."
Boat Ride to Isla del Sol Sail the tranquil waters of Lake Titicaca and arrive at Isla del Sol, believed to be the birthplace of the sun.
Pass by the fountain of eternal youth natural spring and drink fresh water from the mountain. As you reach the top of the island, you will be rewarded with spectacular views from either side with the snow-capped Bolivian Andes in the distance. Have dinner (not included) and get a good night’s rest on this peaceful island in the middle of Lake Titicaca. ***(Note: Overnight in Isla del Sol is offered either in hostel or eco-lodge (3* and 4* hotels are not available in the area)***
Day 2
Morning: Sunrise Island Stroll After breakfast, set out on a two-hour guided walk through Isla del Sol’s tranquil paths towards the mystical Pilkokaina Temple. Ruins Exploration: Pilkokaina Temple Marvel at the history and serenity of this ancient Inca site with your guide’s insights.
Back to Copacabana & Farewell Lunch Sail back across the sparkling blue waters to Copacabana, capping your island adventure with a hearty lunch.
Evening: Bus Journey to Cuzco Transition from lake to city as you board an overnight bus for the scenic route toward Cuzco, ready for your next adventure.
Day 3
Free Time in Cuzco With a day entirely at your disposal, choose your own adventure! Discover Cuzco’s lively plazas, bustling markets, or remarkable archaeological sites. Taste local Peruvian dishes, unwind at a cozy café, or delve into the rich Incan heritage on your own schedule. It's your day to relax or explore as you wish.
Day 4
As your unforgettable journey draws to a close, take a moment to reflect on the magic of Lake Titicaca, the spirit of the Andes, and the charm of Cuzco. From ancient Inca stairways to vibrant plazas, you’ve uncovered the beauty, culture, and history woven through Bolivia and Peru.
